Academic excellence could not be achieved in one day. The success came after practices and hard work. Our oldest record of student assignment is a book of Chinese composition in the 1930s. Students wrote their composition with Chinese brushes at that time. The topics of the composition also reflected the history at that time, e.g. ‘Discuss the policy of First Asylum Policy to the Vietnamese Boat People’. The Chinese virtue like filial piety was also one of the themes of the composition. Another exhibit is the English vocabulary book. All these show that our students strive for academic excellence.

According to the school records, students wore light-brown cheongsam before the Second World War.
